Akashic Records
The One Universal Energy
of existence is said to have five modes of expression. In astrology
and alchemy these are the four elements of Fire, Earth, Air and
Water and the mysterious fifth element called Ether, Quintessence,
or Akasha. What are termed the Akashic Records are understood to
be energetic imprints permanently registered on the "fabric"
of the time-space continuum. The records might be said to reside
in the public domain, but it takes a special sensitivity and a high
level of intuitive skill to access and read this information. The
most well-known reader of the Akashic Records, and probably the
most-documented psychic, was Edgar Cayce, sometimes called the Sleeping
Prophet.
While in trance Cayce saw
what he called a "temple of records without walls" which
contained sealed scrolls which could be unrolled and read. He also
described meetings with an old man who held a large book. The old
man held different books on various occasions, depending who Cayce
read for. Each book contained records of an individual's collective
lifetimes.
But Cayce spoke of another
sort of record chamber and told of three similar ancient storehouses.
Cayce called these Halls of Records. One location he referenced
numerous times in his psychic readings he said had been specifically
created as a storehouse many thousands of years ago, and he said
this chamber still lies buried in the vicinity of the Sphinx in
Egypt in a pyramid of its own.

"Egyptian Enigma" by Andrew Annenburg
Cave of the Ancients
T. Lobsang Rampa, a Tibetan
lama who wrote of his experiences in a series of three books, also
told of a treasure trove of ancient artifacts stored somewhere in
a cave in Tibet (The Cave of the Ancients, 1963). Among the
objects which had been hidden in the cave were mysterious lights
which glowed of their own accord and stunning ancient machinery.
Lobsang's teacher told him these things had been hidden for thousands
of years, since the fall of a great civilization, to safeguard them
from abuses by ignorant humanity until the time was right. There
are striking parallels in the contents of these fantastic warehouses
described by Cayce and Rampa.
Wise stewards wanted to protect
what humanity once took for granted but squandered so Halls of Records
were created to safeguard knowledge and wisdom and perhaps to shock
us into wakefulness when the time was right. During a psychic reading,
Cayce informed one woman that she had woven linens in an Egyptian
lifetime which were carefully stored in the hall. Musical instruments,
art work, pottery, jewelry and other artifacts of the time, including
knowledge of free energy and how the pyramids were built, are among
the priceless treasures awaiting discovery.
Perhaps the most compelling
contents of the Hall, according to Cayce, are records of humanity's
true history from the beginning to the present, somehow foreshadowing
how things would unfold in our own era. Numerous attempts have been
made by archeologists and alternative scholars alike to locate and
gain access to the fabled wonders underneath the sands of Giza,
but the riddle of the Sphinx remains unresolved.
Edgar Cayce said we won't
be able to enter the physical Hall of Records until the consciousness
of humanity reaches a certain point. He, like other teachers, referred
to this state as the "fifth root race," describing another
step forward in our collective evolution beyond war and greed. Cayce
made a cryptic comment regarding the physical Hall of Records. He
said "those who were left as guards" cannot be passed
until this state of awareness is achieved. Many have speculated
(this author included), just what those guards might be and how
the chamber has been rendered invisible until the time is right.
Ancient Oracles
Ancient tradition teaches
that the evolution of humanity is a truly long term project. Certain
spiritual traditions teach that there have been solar systems which
have preceded ours and more which will follow as souls make the
long journey home to Oneness. According to testimony from many prophetic
traditions we live in a time of wonder and intense change, marked
by both miracles and cataclysms. Seers agreed that this time on
earth would be profound.
If these oracles and prophetic
testimonies are to be believed as we move toward the much-heralded
Age of Aquarius we are coming out of a long era of darkness and
entering into an age of light. If this juncture on the Great Wheel
is auspicious, what can we do as individuals to take advantage of
this change in energy, maximize the timing and aid the shift?
Edgar Cayce mentioned that
each of us can access an individual record library inside ourselves
which could facilitate the shift in consciousness and possibly speed
up our ability to open the physical Hall of Records. In a sense
we can each do our share of the reclamation of knowledge and memory
which will in turn accelerate the collective process. This requires
humility, mental focus and willingness to spend time in meditation.
But if we each endeavor to reclaim our own portions we can reach
a critical mass sooner and, when enough of us re-member a portal
of consciousness will open.
Sacred Journeys
A record-breaking 6.5 million
people from around the world visited Egypt in 2004. I believe one
reason Egypt draws us so strongly is a subconscious memory of a
time when the Mysteries were acknowledged and taught in the temples.
Egypt was once a land of magic, and something deep within our psyches
remembers this and aches to reclaim the knowledge.
At some level we understand
that sacred sites are like pressure cookers, with the potential
to accelerate healing and stimulate our memories. Even if our journey
is only internal connecting with the potency of a sacred site with
which we resonate can act as a powerful trigger for memory. Many
also believe that America as a nation is the reincarnation of Atlantis.
The implications of that, I believe, are that greed, corruption
and abuse of power have the potential to destroy us again. If enough
people understand the nature of this collective karma and what is
at stake we can make a difference.
Individually as we experience
different incarnations we build up positives and negatives which
need to be brought into equilibrium. For some people ancient wounds,
which have replicated pain through many subsequent incarnations,
need to be recognized and destructive patterns released. For others
karma which magnetizes painful and destructive relationships need
to be cleared. Special gifts or talents which have been forgotten
or lain dormant for lifetimes need to be retrieved, integrated and
offered in service in the present life. As people gain their own
recall these memories may emerge spontaneously as a "new"
invention or revolutionary healing technique.

Thoth, God of Wisdom
Soul Work
Even though time and space
are illusions in other dimensions which move at the speed of light
while we are encased in physical bodies we experience limitation
because the motion is slower. It's my experience that sacred travel,
embarked upon with humility and intention, can bend space and fold
time in consciousness in a way that is mysterious and miraculous.
At the site of an ancient temple where we lived and worked before
we can accomplish soul growth in an instant which might otherwise
take a lifetime. It's more like a shamanic journey, bestowing a
state of grace where we can step outside of time and miracles of
healing occur in the blink of an eye.
As an analogy when we were
limited to the technology of cassettes, finding information was
linear, requiring either reversing or fast forwarding the tape sequentially
to locate a specific piece of information. With the advent (or return),
of the more Atlantean-style technology of CDs we can access any
portion of the stored information instantly as it resides everywhere
all at once.
I believe each person carries
a carefully protected fragment of hidden wisdom, like a coded piece
of a giant jigsaw puzzle. If we can reclaim our own memories, accessing
the personal hall of records waiting deep within our own psyches,
we can work to reassemble the collective picture. Undertaking a
pilgrimage of power, whether the journey is an inner one of consciousness,
or a trek to the other side of the earth, the healing work accomplished
can help transform the world.
