The Feminine Side of God

Forbidden Secrets * Forgotten History * Forsaken Wisdom

A resurgence of the Sacred Feminine is sweeping the planet, but who is the Goddess, and what are her attributes? What is the nature and quality of power of the Feminine Side of God? Her story can be found in every culture and tradition around the world, but why is this knowledge vital to modern men and women? Don't miss this enlightening and provocative presentation which reveals a synthesis of years of intensive research for her upcoming book, Everyday Goddesses.

The evening presentation covers the architecture and function of myth and how the stories have been altered since classical Greece. Forbidden “heretical” secrets and forgotten or suppressed history will also be discussed, including the true nature of the Grail. What is the unique quality of the Divine Feminine and the nature of the power of the Feminine Side of God? How do these realities affect the way women view and value themselves and likewise how men perceive and value everything feminine? Why is it vital to restore her reverence and heal the heart of humanity?

Workshop

This experiental workshop explores myths and divine feminine archetypes from diverse cultural and theological traditions, including: Isis, Sophia, Shakti, Medusa, African and American Indian goddesses, Eve, Kali, White Goddess and Black Madonna, Mother Mary, Mary Magdalene, and others.

We will also discuss why certain symbols are associated with feminine power and recur across time and culturse such as: gardens, serpents, trees, birds, spinning, weaving, cauldrons and apples of immortality. Beloved scholar of myth Joseph Campbell demonstrated that stories of the Hero's Journey and the essential aspects of the Divine are echoed in every culture and land. Psychiatrist Carl Jung, who popularized the term archetype, warned that unacknowledged aspects of our collective consciousness do not disappear, instead they go underground, emerging in dreams and sometimes psychoses. Participants will gain a rich knowledge of these powerful feminine icons and learn why it is vital to restore their many-faceted powers to conscious awareness. An understanding of sacred calendars and the value of creating individual rituals to evoke and honor these qualities will also be included.
